AMES PIONEER IS DEAD
Henry Webster Tripp Passes Away in Colorado
-----------Henry Webster Tripp, for oever a third of a century a resident of Ames, died at La Jara, Colo., on Monday last, at the age of 76. The end was not unexpected as Mr. Tripp had been in bad health for some time. The body will be brought to Ames for interment, the remains arriving in this city some time tomorrow. The funeral, for which final arrangements have not been made, will be conducted by the Ames lodge of the I. O. O. F.
The dead man had a wide acquaintance throughout the state. He was employed in construction work on the state college for 37 years, starting in as a mason, then as plumber, and afterward having charge of the electric lighting plant. Seven years ago he moved to Colorado. He leaves a widow and two sons, Jesse E. and Charles, in Colorado; a son, Will A. in Ames, and a daughter, Mrs. Arthur E. Ross, who lives near this city.
