THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

Stephen Hollie Couture, of Clive, died Monday, May 24, 2010, in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 28, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 2210 Lincoln Way, in Ames.

Stephen was born Oct. 10, 1949, to Lyle and Ina Ham Couture, in Sioux City. He graduated from Ames High School in 1968. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial administration from Iowa State University in 1974, and a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University in 1982. He entered the U.S. Army in 1974 and retired as a sergeant first class in finance and accounting after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; his mother, Ina; five brothers, Larry (Kristi), Michael, Tom, James (Leslie) and John (Cindy); one sister, Shirley (Jerry) Williams; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
