THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, May 21, 2010.

Benjamin Scott Croson, 23, was a member of Charlie Company 1-133 Infantry of the Army National Guard. He served in Iraq in 2006 and 2007, where he received a Purple Heart. He attended high school in Story City before joining the National Guard. He died at his residence in New Hartford on May 17, 2010. He was preceded in death by two great-grandmothers. He is leaving behind his mother, Darcy Croson, and her special friend, Doug Greiner, of Ames; his grandparents, Brian and Janice Croson, of Newton; an uncle, Scott Croson and his wife, Cristy, of Newton; an aunt, Pam Warwick and her husband, Tom, of Coulter; an aunt, Rhonda Hamblin and her husband, Les, of Wendell, N.C; as well as 13 cousins and two second cousins.

Services will be at l0 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship church in Newton. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
