Jerry D. Corbin, 73, a resident of Elberta, Alabama and a summer resident of Davenport, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 3, at Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park, Davenport after suffering an apparent massive heart attack.

Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial will be 11: a.m.

Thursday, May 6, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.

Jerry Dean Corbin was born March 18, 1937 in Nevada, Iowa a son of Hugh and Emma (Wirth) Corbin. He was united in marriage to JoAnn McNamara on February 15, 1958 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2005. He then married Janice C. Stenz on January 20, 2007 in Alabama.

Memorials can be made to Hand-in-Hand, in care of Tessa's Place.

Survivors include his wife, Jan, children and their spouses, Terri Jo (Randy) Johnson, Jill Uitermarkt, Jerri Lynn Garman and Ron May, Danny (Kelli) Corbin, Greg Corbin and Matt Corbin, stepson Scott (Pam) Fluck; nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson; sisters, Iona Ricketts, Rose (Art) Schebler, and Mary (Ron) Fincham; brothers, Jack (Shirley) Corbin, Ron (Helen Ann) Corbin and Don (Carol) Corbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn, a grandson, Hunter Corbin, and brothers, Ed and Abe Corbin.
