CHILD DIED LAST WEEK

Richard Eugene Bowers, one year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bowers of Ontario, died at the Bowers home Wednesday at 11 p. m., after five days illness with pneumonia.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Adams chapel in Ames, Rev. M. O. Sumstad of this place officiating. Burial was made in the Roland cemetery.

The child was born October 21, 1932, and died November 8, 1933, being a little over a year old. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Marilyn, aged 4. Mrs. Bowers is the former Berdella Jondall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jondall of this place.

Among those in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Bowers, Mrs. Andrew Schum and Mrs. Anton Lentz of Tecumseh, Neb., Mrs. L. A. Luff and daughter, Alfred and Milford Jondall, and John Bowers of Chicago, Miss Julia Monson and Ole Monson of Story City, and Mr. and Mrs. John Jondall and Miss Clara Jondall of this place.
