DIED FOLLOWING STROKE
Funeral services were held Monday at the St. Petri church in Story City for Miss Anna Larson of Story City who died Thursday night. A number of relatives and friends from here were in attendance.
Miss Larson was born July 3, 1886, at Wiota, Iowa. She came to Story county with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Severt Larson, in 1900 and lived most of the time on the Larson farm southwest of Roland until 1913 when the family moved to Story City. Mrs. Larson died in 1917 and from then on Miss Larson kept house for her father until he died in January 1932, following an accident in Story City.
Recently she was staying at the home of I. J. Hill northeast of Roland where she assisted in the care of Mrs. Lars Hill, an invalid, and it was while she was there that she was taken ill. She suffered a stroke of paralysis a week ago Sunday and was taken to the hospital in Story City where she died shortly after ten o'clock Thursday evening.
She leaves three brothers, L. S. Larson of Roland, Jake Larson of Humboldt, and Severt Larson of Des Moines.
