13 January 1910Young Wife Dies Suddenly
People were shocked last Sunday to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Jacob B. Langland on Saturday night at twelve o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Langland moved from here last spring to Windom, Minn., and had been visiting relatives for about two weeks. Mrs. Langland had been poorly for some time, but on Thursday she was taken suddenly worse and died as before stated, on Saturday night, at the home of Mr. Langland's brother, John O. Langland, north of town. The cause of her death is reported as having been kidney trouble.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at one o'clock from the J. O. Langland home from where the remains were taken to Vinton to be interred in the family lot. Mrs. Langland was a quiet young lady, who had many friends here. She leaves a husband, parents and several brothers and sisters to mourn her death.
