Mrs. Martha Donhowe Walen

Mrs. John Walen, of Story City, died at the Deaconess Hospital on Thursday, February 2, 1911, from an operation performed a few days previous. The remains were taken to Story City and funeral services were held from the United church at that place, Rev. Heimark officiating.

Martha Donhowe was born about 44 years ago and was married to John Walen about 25 years ago, to which union six children were born, who with their father mourn the loss of a beloved mother. Mrs. Walen was a sister of Olavus O. Donhowe of this place. The sorrowing family are extended the sincere sympathy of numerous friends during their hour of deep affliction.
