Kills Self and Family

Christ Hanson, a well-to-do farmer of near Barton, Wis., became violently insane last Friday and cut the throats of his two daughters, 16, and 18 years old, and of his wife, and then hanged himself. When discovered, they were all found to be dead. The cause of his insanity is not known.

Mr. and Mrs. Hanson formerly lived on a farm about eight miles southeast of here and he was known by many of our citizens. He was a Dane by birth and was a respected man. He has a sister, Miss Anna Hanson, living at Nevada.

Killed Wife, Daughter and Self

Chris Hanson, a Danish farmer of near Barron, Wis., but formerly of Nevada, murdered his only four-year-old daughter, and his wife, and not his 16 and 18 year-old daughters as reported by the American Press reports. Mr. Hanson was a deeply religious man and it is believed he turned insane and while demented killed his daughter and wife and then himself. The tragedy was one of the saddest that has happened for a long time. Messrs and Mesdames Chris Rasmusson and Hans Hanson and Miss Hannah Hanson, all of Nevada, attended the funeral at Barron.
