Eunice May Thompson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew S. Thompson, of Pontiac, Ill, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1908 at the home of her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Lura living east of town. Mrs. Thompson and children came here a few weeks ago for a visit at the home of her parents, when the little girl was taken sick with the result that she passed away as above stated. The little girl was born April 3, 1906, and was 2 years, 6 months and 20 days old at the time of her death. Her father was called here a week ago and was also present when she died.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from Salem church, Rev. J. N. Sandven officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Roland cemetery. The sorrowing parents and relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
