Henry Olai Rame was born at the old Rame homestead three miles southeast of town, December 30, 1882, and died at his home in Roland Friday, January 24, 1908 being 25 years and 25 days old at the time of his untimely death. The deceased was the son of Mrs. Inger Rame and was a young man in the prime of his life.

The past year or two he has been afflicted with that dreaded disease, consumption, so death was not an unexpected guest. His father Sjur N. Rame died of the same disease less than eight months ago.

Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Bell Rame, who makes her home in Des Moines.

The funeral was held from Bergen church, Monday afternoon and was attended by a large concourse of friends, who wished to pay their last tribute to the departed. R. Smedal preached the funeral sermon after which interment took place in the Roland cemetery. The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
