Obituary of Ruth Eggland

Ruth Eggland was born April 3, 1905, and died September 21, 1911, being but 6 years, 5 months and 18 days old, when she was called to the Eternal Home, where there is no suffering or pain. Ruth had been a healthy child until a few weeks before her death, when she contracted some intestinal trouble, which later developed into cerebrospinal meningitis, and death resulted as above noted. She leaves her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Eggland, a brother and two sisters and many uncles and aunts to mourn her untimely death.

The funeral was held from Salem church on Saturday afternoon and the church was filled to overflowing with friends of the family, who wished to show their kind respects. Rev. J. N. Sandven preached the funeral sermon, after which the remains were interred in the Roland cemetery. The flower offerings were many and very beautiful as were the decorations at the church. The Record is joined by the many friends of the bereaved family, in extending to them our most sincere sympathy.

We desire to extend our heartfelt thanks to the dear friends and neighbors, who so kindly assisted us during our recent affliction in the death of our beloved daughter, Ruth Marvel. We also wish to thank for the beautiful singing and the floral offerings.

Altho our hears are filled with sorrow the kindness of our friends will ever be remembered.
