The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, August 6, 1879.

Died.

In this city on Thursday morning July 31st of childbirth, Mrs. Libbie C. Balliet, wife of Samuel A. Balliet aged 20 years.

The many friends of Mrs. Balliet, formerly Miss Lovell, heard the news of her sudden death with sad hearts indeed. She had lived her whole life in this county, was loved and highly cherished by all her young associates who now sadly think of her as having so early passed to the mystical and unknown beyond. She gave birth to a beautiful babe, a daughter Wednesday afternoon which a mothers love prompted her to inquire about and ask for, but shortly afterwards went into a spasm, which at intervals were succeeded by others, and from which she never fully recovered. She breathed her last about 3 o'clock Thursday morning.
