THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, February 5, 2010.

Veronica DeAnda Tosten, 33, of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, following a six-year battle with cancer. Memorial service is pending in El Paso, Texas.

Veronica was born Aug. 14, 1976, in El Paso, to Ruben and Mary DeAnda. She worked in Dallas as an artist after graduating with an MFA in fine arts from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Erik Tosten, of Dallas and formerly of Ames; her parents, Ruben and Mary DeAnda, of El Paso; three sisters and one brother and their families; and in-laws, Nathan and Neta Tosten, of Ames.
