Lucille Irene Sexauer McCleary, 89, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. The funeral service was held at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, Monday, December 21, 2009. Burial was in the Greenwood Friends Cemetery on Oralabor Road in Ankeny.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Abel; her children, Doreen (Lawrence) Gillespie of Nevada, Melvin (Sandy) of Okoboji, and Norman (Deb) McCleary of Ankeny; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of beloved friends.

Memorial contributions may be given to: Ankeny First United Methodist Church, Ankeny Historical Society or Mercy Hospice.

Bacon Funeral Home of Nevada handled arrangements.
