THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, December 29, 2009.

Linda Lande, 62, of Huxley, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Fjeldberg Cemetery in Huxley.

Linda was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Ames, to Luther and Darlene (Morris) Beach. She attended Ames Schools. She married Richard (Dick) Lande Nov. 26, 1965, and lived in Huxley all her married life. To this marriage, three children were born.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Jody (Duane) Gealow, of Huxley, and Jason (Kari) Lande, of Slater; and five grandchildren, Sheridan, Austin and Carley Gealow, and Chance and Jada Lande.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Ardo and Wilma Lande; and an infant son at birth in 1972.

Linda’s grandchildren were her life. She never missed a game. She even traveled to different states to see some games. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was always there for everyone.
