THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, December 18, 2009.

Frances M. Robinson, 84, of Ames, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Riverside Manor. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Frances May Robinson, 84, of Ames, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Riverside Manor in Ames. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, with the Rev. Whit Malone officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church.

Frances May Robinson was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Boone, to Frank and Anna (Mellish) Kilborn. She was a graduate of Boone High School. On July 2, 1946, she married Charles Herbert Robinson.

Frances was a member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church, where she was very active with the rummage sales and served as a deacon. She was a farmer’s wife and still held many positions at First National Bank, including vice president, where she worked for 37 years. She was a very loving and giving mother and grandmother and would always help a friend in need. She enjoyed gatherings with friends and family and was a member of the PEO Chapter LN and Soroptomist Club.

Survivors include her son, Steven (Joanne) Robinson; sister, Ruthy Clark; four grandchildren, Lance (Mary) Hein, Brent Hein, Sarah Robinson and Angela Robinson; and great-granddaughter, Haley Hein-Severson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robinson; daughter, Pamela Hein; brother, Charles Kilborn; and sister, Betty Bean.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Collegiate Presbyterian Church

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
