THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, December 4, 2009.

Larry E. Berry, 66, of Kelley, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada, with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens in Ames.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

Larry was born April 21, 1943, in Ames, to Isaac and Bessie (Mitchell) Berry. On Aug. 26, 1963, he married Marcia Fausch in Nevada. He retired in 1992 from the Nevada schools. He enjoyed gardening, refurbishing furniture and cleaning.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Berry, of Kelley; two daughters, Sherry (Roger) Sinclair, of Slater, and Julie Mann, of Kelley; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin (Ruth) Berry, of Monroe, and Raymond Berry, of Nevada; and one sister, Doris (Gordon) Eivins, of Panora.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daniel E. Berry on Nov. 27, 2005; one daughter, Delisa Berry; one sister, Margaret Rice; and one brother, Bob Berry on March 16, 2004.

A memorial fund has been established.
