Todd Jay Rhoden, 37, of Nevada, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, November 23 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada with Pastor David R. Burling officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Todd was born on December 1, 1971 in Indiana to Jackie Ray and Janet Sue (Bergstrom) Rhoden. On October 11, 2003, he married Jill Annette Glasford in Ames. Todd had been employed since 1999 with L & L Insulations in Des Moines. He was a proud member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 74 in Des Moines. Todd enjoyed fishing and watching James Bond movies, but loved playing with his son the most (they loved walks to the park).

Todd is survived by his wife Jill Rhoden of Nevada; a son, Jacob at home; his mother, Janet Rhoden of Ames; and parents-in-law, Pat and Morris VanBaale of Newton.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Rhoden, in 1987.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for his son, Jacob.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with Todd and his family.
