THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, November 5, 2009.

Karen Mae Holder, 69 of Nevada died on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Graveside memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6 at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with Pastor David Burling officiating.

Karen was born on March 22, 1940 in Nevada to Wayne and Inda (Bales) Biddle. She was employed at 3-M in Ames for 22 years. Karen was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.

Karen is survived by 2 daughters, Ginny Settle and Dawn Kelton; a son, Dallas Eyanson, all of Nevada; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Craig “Wishbone” Settle on September 15, 2009.

A memorial fund has been established in Karen’s name.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with Karen and her family.
