DIED. In Howard township, on Friday, October 11th, in child-birth, Cyntha Bates wife of Matthew Bates, aged 47 years.

Mrs. Bates was a native of Canada, had resided with her husband in this county 22 years, and was the mother of 13 children. She was a kind and true wife and will be greatly and sadly missed by her husband and children.
