THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 24, 2009.

Connie Jo Garifo, 51, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Liberty Hospital, Mo. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Charles Borromea Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo., with burial in Resurrection North Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the church.

Connie was born Aug. 29, 1958, to Glendon and Minnie Williams. She married George Garifo, formerly of Ames, on Aug. 21, 1993.

Connie is survived by her husband, George; sons, Jeremy and Matthew Knowles; daughter, Melanie Knowles; parents, Glendon and Minnie Williams; nine brothers; five sisters; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Connie will be deeply missed.
