THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, August 18, 2009.

Mary L. Latham, 71, of Ames, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames.

Mary was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Ames, the daughter of William E. and Lola M. (Elliott) Peterson. She graduated from Ames High School. She worked at R.H. Donnelly Company in Nevada until 1986. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Bill (Jennifer) Latham and Andy Latham, both of Ames; one niece; two nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Fowles.
