Linda McDonald, 59, of Roland, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services are pending with Soderstrum Funeral Homes.

Linda E. McDonald, 59, of Roland, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Burial will be Monday, Aug. 17, in Des Moines.

Linda was born Jan. 18, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Ruby and Sidney Marshall. She worked for Story City Hospital, Story County Hospital and Iowa State University.

She is survived by two sons, Ryan McDonald, of Marion, born from her marriage to Robert W. McDonald (deceased), and Rodney Wilkins, of Bloomington, Minn., born from her marriage to Raymond C. Wilkins, of Bellevue, Neb.
