Colin Michael McGaffin died June 29, 2009 at his home in Nevada, Iowa. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. Visitation was from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2 at the Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada.

Colin was born in Ames, Iowa on June 3, 2009, the son of Mason and Jessica (Sorrell) McGaffin.

He is survived by his parents, Mason and Jessie McGaffin of Nevada; one brother, Brendan McGaffin; three sisters, Madison, Meagan, and Kaitlyn McGaffin, all at home; paternal grandparents James and Linda McGaffin of Story City; maternal grandmother, Pam Strum of Roland; one uncle, Mitch (Wendy) Sorrell of Nevada; one aunt, Elza McGaffin of Ames; one cousin, Jack Sorrell; paternal great-grandparents, Pete and Eleanor McGaffin of Winterset; maternal great-grandmother, Renee Sorrell of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of. arrangements.
