June 30, 1987ROLAND, IA.-Rosie G. Quam, 91, of Roland died of a heart ailment Sunday at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bergen Lutheran Church here. Burial will be in Roland Cemetery.
Mrs. Quam was born in Roland and was a lifelong resident. She had been a homemaker. She was a charter member of Roland American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Bergen Lutheran Church in Story City and Wantanye Club in Roland.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Oxley of Ames and Flora Belle Prescott of Brooklyn; three brothers, Otis, Merle and Otto Twedt, all of Roland; two sisters, Ruth Twedt of Ames and Mayme Grindem of Millersville, Pa.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Roland.
