CHARLE RUSSELL CHITTY

Charles Russell Chitty, 54, rural Nevada, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 1989 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines. His death resulted from complications during heart surgery.

Chitty was born Aug. 19, 1934 in Nevada, IA, to Russell and Mabelle (Harrington) Chitty. He resided here his entire life. He was married to Rosella Rosburg Nov. 10, 1957 in Ames.

Survivors are his mother, Mabelle Chitty of Ames and wife, Rosella Chitty of Nevada; two sons, Martin and Matthew Chitty of Nevada; one sister, Barb Tighe of Lake Stevens, WA; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Michael Chitty.

Chitty was a farmer and area businessman. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church.
