Myrtle Lavina See June 17, 1913 - March 31, 1996

Myrtle Lavina See, 82, of Nevada, died Sunday at her home, of a heart attack. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada, with Dr. Robert Domokos of the Nevada Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada.

Myrtle Lavina Kahler was born in Oxford, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Schalow) Kahler. She married Benjamin See in January 1929 in Maxwell. A longtime resident of the Nevada and Maxwell areas, Mrs. See was a cook at the Ramada Inn in Ames before retiring in 1975. She was also employed by the Sheldon-Munn Hotel in Ames for 20 years and the Home Cafe in Nevada.

Mrs. See is survived by two sons, Ernest See of Nevada and Charles See of Stuart; one daughter, Eva Spencer of Nevada; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Kahler of Iowa Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be Turesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. The family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
