Ina Gilreath Huhn, 80, of Rural Rt. 1, Nevada, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1981, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Ia., following a two year illness with cancer.
She was born Nov. 1, 1901, in Tennessee to James W. and Cordelia Gilreath. Her family moved to the Nevada farm community when she was a small girl and she attended Fernald School and graduated from Nevada High School with the class of 1920.
She was married to Loren Huhn on Nov. 3, 1923, at the Christian Church parsonage in Boone, Ia.
Ina taught at Milford Consolidated School in the 20's and worked at Younker's in Ames for several years. She also worked at Olive's Ladies' Apparel.
She belonged to the Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dan Huhn and Gaylord Huhn, Nevada; a daughter, Kay Huhn, Des Moines; a brother, Clay Gilreath; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening.
