Roland, Nov. 7 - Tosten Durby, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Durby was born on a farm four miles south of Roland, August 13, 1884 and died at a hospital at Cheyenne Wells, Colo., from appendicitis on Oct. 21 being at the time of his death thirty-seven years two months and fifteen days.
He was married to Nelle Post of Nevada in 1907, and they moved to Rolfe where they lived on a farm for two years. Then Mr. and Mrs. Durby moved to a farm near Cheyenne Wells, Colo. and there they have lived eleven years. He leaves to mourn his death besides his wife and four children, Burton, Herold, and L. Milton and a foster daughter, Mae, his father and mother, four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Ole Horness of Maskgon, Mich., Mrs. Dr. G. Tjernagel of Story City, Levi of Woden, Barney, Pete, and Sigurd Durby and Misses Rena and Gladys Durby all of Roland.
He was buried at Cheyenne Wells. The community extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
