THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, May 15, 2009.

Donna Faye Anderson, 72, of Boone, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Boone County Hospital in Boone. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Central Christian Church, 803 Greene St., in Boone. The Rev. Paul Fraser will officiate. Her body has been cremated. Private family burial will be at a later date in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

Visitation with the family present to receive friends will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Donna was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Boone, the daughter of William and Leona Sarah (Efkamp) Leichliter. She graduated from Boone High School in 1954. She then attended classes at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone.

She married Keith James Anderson June 21, 1980, in Boone.

She worked with Culligan Water Conditioning in Boone from 1967 to 1994. She worked in the office, in sales and then as manager of the Boone store along with overseeing as area manager with the stores in Adel and Marshalltown.

She was a member of Central Christian Church in Boone, where she was baptized March 28, 1948. She was a lifetime charter member of the Harley Owners Group, lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association, member of the Motor Maids and American Business Women Association (ABWA). She enjoyed making crafts and porcelain dolls. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of area bowling leagues. She was very involved with racing, driving and winning many Powder Puff derbies at the Boone Speedway and other area tracks. She rode a Harley motorcycle with her husband, Keith, and many other friends, going on rides across the country.

She is survived by her husband, Keith J. Anderson, of Boone; one daughter, Karla E. (John) Keigley, of Ames; two grandsons, Kyle Keigley and Jason Keigley, of Ames; her constant companion Pomeranian dog, Punky; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Jack, Larry and Ron.

She had given one of her kidneys to her brother, Ron. She donated her corneas to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank following her death.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
