Odale J. Ose, 85, of Roland, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial followed at Warren Township Cemetery, rural McCallsburg. There was a visitation of family and friends at Adams Funeral Home in Ames on Friday, May 1st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Odale Ose was born March 10, 1924 to Ellwood and Amy (Tvedt) Ose in McCallsburg, Iowa. He married Mary Ann Hauser July 24, 1960. Odale was employed by Bayer as an economist. Odale and Mary Ann moved to Roland from Kansas City in 2005. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ames.

Odale is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Roland; two sons, Kevin (Marijo) Ose of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and David (Amy) Ose of McCallsburg; one daughter Carol (David) Ose-Diehl of Hope, NJ; four sisters, Ardis Fincham of Ames, Audrey
Bauer of Story City, Shirley Schwartz of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Joane Lantz of Denver, Colorado; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Roland is assisting the family with the arrangements.
