THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, May 6, 2009.

Evelyn Cody, 88, of Boulder, Colo., and formerly of Ames, died Dec. 25, 2008, in Boulder.

Memorial graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, in Ames Municipal Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Abell of Heartland Baptist Church officiating.

Evelyn Cody was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Ames, to Tony and Mae Cody.

She is survived by two sisters, Helen Helgeland and Dorothy Yancy, both of Ames; and one brother, Bill Cody, of West Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Mae; three sisters, Opal, Ruth and Gladys; and one brother, Frederick.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
