MARY GINGLES OF COLLINS IS DEAD
COLLINS—Funeral services Miss Mary Gingles, 41, who died Friday at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church in Collins. The Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada officiated, and interment was in the Collins cemetery.
Miss Gingles. the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Gingles, was born in Collins, July 25, 1895. Following her graduation from the Collins high school in 1914, she took nurses' training at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. Following her graduation in 1918, she was assistant superintendent of nurses at the Methodist hospital but then entered private practice for 12 years. In 1932 Miss gingles accepted a position with the Methodist hospital in Des Moines as night matron of the nurses home. She continued in that position until failing health compelled her to give up her work.
Miss Gingles is survived by her parents and a brother George of East Moline, Ill. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Order of Eastern Star.
