ELBERT ANDERSON DIES AT GILBERT

GILBERT—Elbert Anderson, 69, pioneer Story county resident and father of Mayor Fred Anderson of Gilbert, died early Friday morning at his home here. He had been ill for the past week.
Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden Aug. 17, 1876 and came to Ames when 10 years of age. He was married Oct. 26, 1889 to Sena Jacobson at Story City. The couple moved to Gilbert in 1901.
Mr. Andersen was employed as section foreman for the Chicago and North Western railroad at Ames and Gilbert for 50 years, 24 years of that time being spent in Gilbert.
Surviving are five sons, Henry of Ames, Edward of Chelsea, Morris of Randall and Fred and Floyd of Gilbert, two daughters. Mrs. Fred Wheeler of Ames, Mrs. Arthur Mortvedt of Gilbert, two brothers Charles of Ames and John of Mason City and one sister, Mrs. C. J. Anderson of Ames. Mrs. Anderson died six years ago.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed Friday.

Albert Anderson Funeral Monday
GILBERT - Funeral services for Albert Anderson, 69, who died Friday morning at his home here, were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and 2 o'clock from the Gilbert Lutheran church. The Rev. T. Hiemarck was in charge of services. Burial was in the St. Petri cemetery, two miles north of Gilbert.
Death was caused from cancer and heart trouble.
