RUSSELL RAIL DIES IN DES MOINES MON.
Russell L. Rail, 15, son of Mrs. G. L. Rail of 508 fifth street, died at 12:40 p. m., Monday at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, it was learned here early Tuesday. Death followed an operation for an abscess on the brain.
Russell was born in Ames Jan. 19, 1921 and this spring he completed eighth grade in central Junior high school. His father died a number of years ago.
Surviving him are his mother, two brothers, Raymond and Max of Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. Fay Ballard of Highland Park, Ill.
Funeral services will be held from the Church of Christ at 9:30 a. m., Thursday, with the Rev. Jack Finegan in charge. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Duckworth funeral home from 7 to 10 p. m., Wednesday.
