Harry Winter Paxton, 47, Native Of Ames, Dies At Sioux City
Dr. Harry Winter Paxton, 47, a nephew of Al Winter, 803 Carroll avenue, and a former Ames resident, died early Saturday at his home in Sioux City.
Paxton was born in Ames July 18, 1888. He graduated from Ames high school and received his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Iowa State college in 1914. Since then he had been employed by the government at the Sioux City stock yards.
Surviving him are his wife and his mother, Mrs. Rachael Paxton, both of Sioux City.
Funeral services will be held from the Adams chapel in Ames at 2:30 p. m., Tuesday, with the Rev. A. R. McLaughlin of the Ames Congregational church in charge. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Judisch, Lew McElyea, Harry Brown. Clarence Cole, Dr. N. L. Nelson and Ted Kooser.
