Well Known Man Dies
John Brown a familer figure around Ames for many years died Monday evening of paralysis. He was 70 years old and made his home with his daughter Mrs. Susan Pierce on South Lincoln St. He had been connected with Lanning Mill for some time as a delivery man, and seemed to be his usual self Monday doing his usual work. After eating a hearty supper, he went out to get some wood and fell. He was able to call his daughter, neighbors came to Mrs. Peirce's assistance, but Mr. Brown became unconsious and in a short time died.
