THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, April 2, 2009.

Joan Evans, 76 of Nevada died on Sunday, March 29 at the Story County Long Term Care. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada with Pastor David R. Burling officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Sandy (Mick) Hall of Colo; a son, Craig (Val) Evans of Boone; 2 brothers, Jack Burdick of Centre, AL and Carroll Burdick of Chandler, AZ; a sister Clarice Sapp of West Des Moines; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established in Joan's name.
