Mrs. Soper, 74, Ames Resident Many Yrs., Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Soper, 74, who died suddenly Wednesday at the home of her son, B. M. Soper, in Nevada, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday from the Ames Congregational church. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
Mrs. Soper had been visiting at the home of her son since the death of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. B. M. Soper, May 17. Death was due to a sudden heart attack.
Mrs. Soper was born August 5, 1861 at Kanesville, Ill. Moving to Ames when 14 years old, she was married to Charles M. Soper when 19. They lived in Ames until 1898, when Mr. Soper was elected county clerk. After living at the county seat for 16 years they returned to Ames. Mr. Soper died here in 1925.
Surviving her are two sons, Bernice M. of Nevada and Donald of Galveston, Texas; also two grandchildren.
A short funeral service will be held at her son's home in Nevada preceding the services in Ames. She will be buried beside her husband in the Ames cemetery.
