Mrs. Schanche, 35, Dies at I. S. C. Hospital
Mrs. Violet Schanche, 35, of 250 Campus avenue, died at the Iowa State college hospital at 5 a. m., Wednesday. She had been ill of pneumonia several weeks ago but was thot to be recovering when her condition suddenly became worse.
Mrs. Schanche, the wife of Dr.. A. N. Schanche, assistant professor of hygiene at the college hospital, was born in Elk Creek, S. Dak., Aug, 14, 1900. She was graduated from the Lead, S. D., high school in 1919 and attended the University of South Dakota. She was married to Dr. Schanche in 1925. The family came to Ames six years ago.
Surviving her are her husband and three children, Arthur Farnham, Dorothy Marie and Catherine Lenore; her mother. Mrs. Clara Stone, Billings, Mont.; two brothers, R. J. Hall, Lead, S. D., and R. L. Hall, Rapid City; S. D.; and one sister, Mrs. George D. Brown, Tampa, Fla.
Funeral services had not been arranged Wednesday noon, pending arrival of relatives. Information regarding the services may be secured at the Duckworth Funeral home Thursday morning. Time and place of services will be published in the Tribune Thursday.
