Tolles Thompson, Former Resident Of Roland, Dead
ROLAND - Funeral services for Tolles Thompson, 63, former resident of this place, who died Monday at his farm home near Calcutta, N. D., will be held Thursday afternoon here. Services will be held at 2 o'clock from the Salem Lutheran church with the Rev. Olaf Holen in charge. Burial will be in the local cemetery.
Mr. Thompson had been ill for several days with pneumonia. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Thompson, pioneers of the Roland community. He attended the Roland schools and moved when a young man to North Dakota. Later he returned to Roland, where he entered the real estate business but went back to North Dakota about 15 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. K. A. Peterson of St. Paul and Mrs. Carl Kingsley of Webster City and one son, Homer of Chicago.
