HENRY WALTERS IS BURIED AT COLO

COLO-Funeral services for Henry Walters, ??, pioneer of this community who died Sunday at teh home of his daughter, Mrs. John Swinbank near Colo, were held Wednesday afternoon. Short prayer services were held at 1:30 from the Wwinbank home and 2:15 from the Lutheran church at State Center. Burial was in the State Center cemetery by the side of his wife who died on Easter day.

Death was attributed to old age and complications.

Mr. Walters was born in Germany and came to America with his parents when a small boy. The family settled first in Illinois and came from there to Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Walters residedo n farms in west Marshall county and eastern Story county until six years ago when they came to the home of their daughter to live. They had been married 68 years at the time of Mrs. Walters' death.

Surviving are the following children, Henry of Rhodes, Lewis of Colo, Mrs. Emma Swinbank of near Colo, Mrs. Lloyd Templeman of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Shenkle of Sioux Falls, S. D. Also surviving is a nephew, Willis Baker, who had been raised by the couple.
