MRS. P. E. JACKSON'S FATHER IS DEAD

Col. E. M. Wentworth, father of Mrs. P. E. Jackson of Ames, died Sunday at his home in Mount Dora, Fla. He had suffered a stroke April 1.

Colonel Wentworth, who was 75, was district freight agent for the Pennsylvania railroad in Des Moines for 26 years. He was associated with the road for 40 years before his retirement five years ago. He lived in Marshalltown and State Center before moving to Des Moines.

He was past president of the Des Moines Traffic club, now the Transportation club, and a former member of the Conopus club and the old Grant club. He was a past president general of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Wentworth and eight children survive, Mrs. Jackson, Norris Wentworth of Madison, Wis., former associate pastor of the Ames Congregational church, Edward Wentworth and Mrs. Helen Berg of Chicago. Edith Wentworth of De Kalb. Ill., Mrs. Marion Stark of Windsor, Mo., Allerton Wentworth of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Hope Madden of Jacksonville, Fla.
