THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, February 11, 2009.

Richard Nedrebo, 68, of New London, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Hagele and Honts Chapel in Mediapolis. Burial will be in the cemetery in Mediapolis. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the chapel.

Richard was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Ames, to T.L. and Mamie Nedrebo. He was a semi-truck driver and farmer for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; his mother, Mamie; his niece, Pamela and Kris Lien, of Sheldon; his nephew, Kevin and Linda Gaul, of Waterloo; and his nephew, Terry Gaul, of Dyersville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, T.L.; an infant sister; and two sisters, Karen Nedrebo and Marilyn Gaul.
