Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service Obituary, Ames, Story County, Iowa.

Patricia Arlene (Nelson) Arionus, 68, of Ames, died Sunday, Jan.11, 2009, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames, with Chaplain Katherine Werner officiating. Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery in rural Rose Hill.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Adams Funeral Home.

Patricia Arlene (Nelson) Arionus was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Ames, to William Christopher and Opal (Taylor) Nelson. She was a 1958 graduate of Ames High School.

Patricia was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and cared for many friends. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and butterflies.

Survivors include a daughter, Darcee Goodman; son, Shawne Goodman; cats, Sissy, Togi, Shauncy and Snookems; dog, Jasper; and a host of family and friends.

Her parents and son, Randy Scott, preceded her in death.
