THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, January 3, 2008.

Jon Deon Gill, 48, of Van Nuys, Calif., and formerly of Slater, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at his home. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Van Nuys, Calif., and White Oak.

Jon was a longtime employee of Paramount Studios.

He will be missed by his wife, Erica, and daughter, Amanda. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn (Monte) Sesker, of Cambridge, Kay (Phil) Cline, of Brooklyn, Iowa, Connie (John) Colle, of Boone, Kathy Berrett, of Ames, and Cindy (Tim) Fogue, of Ames; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Gill, of Cambridge, and Fran (Elliott) Gill, of Slater.
