THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 18, 2008.

Shirley Hopkins Calmer, 72, of Boone, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Her body has been cremated, and burial will be at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, west of Boone.

Friends may call from 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone, at which time the family will be present to greet friends. An obituary and a prayer will be read at 11 a.m. Following the visitation, family and friends are invited to the Moose Lodge, 812 Eighth St., Boone, for a lunch and time of fellowship.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at its discretion.
