Bernidean May Woodley, 75, of Story City and formerly of Ames, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Ames. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Bernidean was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Beloit, Kan., to Clifford and Thelma (Gray) Lynch. She married Roy Lee Woodley Oct. 17, 1951. She lived in the Ames area for 57 years and was a custodian at Iowa State University. She was a very active member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Ken (Lisa) Woodley, of Ames; three daughters, Bernice Aldrich, of Ames, Marlene (Randy) Smith, of Collins, and Joan (Jim) Branch, of Zion, Ill.; one sister Theola McGuehy, of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Lee; one son-in-law, Tom Aldrich; one sister; and one brother.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethany Manor.
Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
