THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 4, 2008.

Ila Beverly Mittelstedter, 75, of Madrid, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Madrid Home.
Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at the Slater United Methodist Church with Chaplain Carla Werre officiating. Burial will be in the Squire Boone Cemetery in Luther.

Ila was born Dec. 30, 1932 in Madrid to Archie and Esther (Callahan) Stoneburner. She is a 1950 graduate of Slater High School and worked at Iowa State University in housekeeping from 1966 - 1990. Ila enjoyed fishing, boating at the lake, cooking, watching ISU Men's basketball and being around friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Terry and his wife Jennifer; sister, Charlotte and her husband Art Cunningham; brother, Dale and his wife Lou Stoneburner; granddaughter, "Sweet Girl" (i.e.) Janet; her companion, Jerry Freeman and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Archie Gail Stoneburner; three infant children and ex-husband, Willard.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at Slater United Methodist Church.

Soderstrum Riis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
